There's nothing we love more than a good Bid Day theme, so of course we have to shout out a chapter when they pull off a killer event! Delta Zeta at San Diego State University did just that with their Hannah Montana themed Spring Bid Day! I talked with Taylor Wansley, the chapter's VP of New Member Education, about the big day and all the little moments that made it so special! From the decor, outfits, and activities, you could say this theme was really "Pumpin' Up The Party!"

Nobody's perfect - but this Bid Day theme honestly might be. (Start counting the Hannah Montana song references now lol) Bid Day is already an exciting day, but how do you make it even more memorable? Classic 2000s Disney nostalgia! Taylor talked about how everyone in her generation lived and breathed Hannah Montana, and we couldn't agree more. If you didn't immediately watch the show after school, rooting for Jake Ryan or "Bad Boy Jesse," what were you even doing??

She was excited to start planning, making this event special for her sisters (old and new) that had such strong core memories with Hannah Montana. Getting to welcome new sisters to Delta Zeta at SDSU while listening to old Miley bops? Now THAT'S the Best of Both Worlds.

So they had the perfect theme - what's they do to make it even more perfect?? Well first of all, you know the only thing playing the whole day was Hannah Montana songs! They were bangers then, they're bangers now ... enough said.

Delta Zeta at San Diego State University took the jam session to another level, though, throwing a dance competition after welcoming the new members! Taylor split everyone up into groups where they had to make up a dance. Her and her team made sure to pair people together that don't normally talk, leading to even more new friendships! She said that it was really fun to see all of the different dances and a "great bonding experience for us." What a unique and fun way to introduce new girls to the sisterhood!

So everyone was feeling like a Rockstar with the throwback jams and choreographed dances, but what was everyone wearing?? Well ... the beauty about the Hannah Montana theme is that you can rock a bunch of different things - Miley Stewart IS living a double life after all. You can stick with the pop star route, going with a sparkly skirt, booties, and microphone ofc. This is also a super easy way to add some 00s trends that are coming back into style!

Hannah Montana, though, is Miley at the core, making a country vibe totally work! Jeans, cowboy boots, and a bright cowboy hat - you're done! Regardless of what version you go with, it sounds like a blast getting to plan an outfit for this theme. When in doubt, purple and sparkles are the move with this Spring Bid Day theme!

Delta Zeta Forever

After the excitement of getting to dress up as Hannah Montana and playing "I Got Nerve" over and over again, you still get to welcome new members into the sisterhood! Taylor talked about how amazing that part of the big day was, leading her to almost cry tears of joy. There really is no better feeling than getting to be together with all your sisters, especially on Bid Day. She also talked about how members were introducing themselves to their new sisters, making everyone feel welcomed and loved immediately. That gives us all the feels <3

Now that their Spring Bid Day is over, it's time to hang out as a sisterhood! Taylor talked about how exciting it is to have the new members now, saying how sweet they all are and how she "can't wait for their process to start." To get the party started, DZ already has events planned to welcome their new sisters. They have a date dash coming up (a sorority classic) as well as a roller skating function. This themed event is called "DiZco," making it even more obvious that this chapter comes up with some of the BEST ideas. Then, saving the very best for last, they have a trip to Disneyland planned for April!! Keep the Hannah Montana playlist handy, they're for sure going to need it for that AMAZING sisterhood.
