Zeta Tau Alpha at Georgia Southern University ... obsessed might be an understatement. This group of women is JUST. THAT. AMAZING! Not only do they support one another so well, but raise a TON of money for their philanthropy, have a large presence on campus, and design some of the cutest sorority t-shirts we've seen :)

We have the honor of working with Theta Xi's Recruitment Chair, Amy DeJarnette, as anEmerson Coast Brand Ambassador! She is simply the BEST, and so why not brag on her and her incredible chapter?? She told us all about her Zeta sisterhood, and it made us want to go through college all over again. Let's learn about some Zetas!!

    Zeta Love Always

    Zeta Love Always

To be a strong chapter, you have to have an even stronger sisterhood behind it! Amy couldn't help but brag about the incredible group of women that make up Zeta Tau Alpha at Georgia Southern University. These girls have the BEST time together at the sorority house, on campus, and everywhere in between. Everywhere they go, Theta Xi makes sure to spread that Zeta love <3

To strengthen those sister bonds, ZTA at GSU throws sisterhoods all year round. Some chapter favs - charcuterie board making, Puppies and Pizza, and a PJ themed sisterhood! These small get togethers let the chapter spend time together, make memories, and have a good time! That's what being in a sorority is all about :) They also throw Bachelorette watch parties at the house, letting everyone come and hang out. Super chill vibes, lounging with pillows and blankets - there's really nothing better!

Amy talked about some of her favorite memories with her sisterhood, and one event stood out from the rest. The night of Bid Day, all the new members were invited to the Zeta house for a retreat. They spent the night playing music, dancing, and hanging out! It's nothing crazy, but served as the perfect way to be welcomed to the sorority. Amy immediately felt comfortable and excited to meet her new sisters.

We'd be excited too, especially after learning about how IMPRESSIVE this chapter is. When they're not hanging out at their house, they're making a huge impact on campus. These girls are always participating in events with other organizations, bringing in awards left and right. Speaking of awards ... we'd be crazy not to mention the FULL SWEEP Theta Xi had at last year's Greek Life awards. They were chosen as the GSU Chapter of the Year, which that in itself needs a round of applause 👏 👏👏 They also received awards for their Philanthropy, Diversity & Inclusion, Chapter Excellence, among sooo many others. Their hard work really paid off!!!

Basically, the Zistas know how to have a good with each other while still making a positive impact to those around them, staying true to their sorority's daily mission.

    Think Pink

Not only is Zeta Tau Alpha at GSU a close-knit group of women, but they stay raising BANK for their philanthropy, Breast Cancer Education & Awareness. The Theta Xi chapter strives to raise $75,000-80,000 for the charity annually ... which is truly INSANE. They have two main events during the year to help reach and surpass that impressive goal, Big Man on Campus and Strawberry Sale!

Big Man on Campus is a Georgia Southern favorite in October, and after hearing about it, we totally get why! Zeta throws this male pageant during Breast Cancer Awareness month, letting all the fraternities pick a candidate. The guys compete to be "Zeta's favorite," showing off their dance skills and answering questions on stage. Girls from other sororities come to cheer on the guys, making this event campus wide! Before the big show, however, Theta Xi hold mini events throughout the week to raise even MORE money. A cookout, hot dog eating contest, and percentage nights at local restaurants are just some on the BMOC events. Last year, this fan fav event raised over $35,000!!

Strawberry Sale is maybe the most unique philanthropy event we've seen when it comes to sororities. Every Spring, the girls of Zeta sell strawberries to the Statesboro community, driving them straight from Florida. This out of the box fundraiser was inspired by one of Zeta's founders, who received a basket of strawberries from her boyfriend at a picnic. The Theta Xi strawberries are just as sweet as that story, making people all around the community want a carton!

If those two large-scale events weren't enough, Zeta Tau Alpha at Georgia Southern holds other events throughout the year to raise money and awarness. They participate in the local Pink Power Run, run "Think Pink! Drink Pink!" lemonade stands around campus, and have Pack the House in Pink at a GSU basketball game every year. With that many things going on, it'd be hard NOT to know about ZTA's philanthropy. That's why, afterall, almost every backpack on the GSU campus have apink ribbon pinned to it. When it comes to their philanthropy, Zeta puts in WORK to Think Pink!

    There's No Place Like Home

    There's No Place Like Home

Now for the thing that's on every sorority girl's mind - Recruitment! As VP of Recruitment, Amy is excited to help make the incoming PNMs feel as comfortable as she did when she went through rush. There's truly no better feeling than walking into a sorority house and immediately feeling at home. That's how Amy felt when she went to Zeta, and can't wait for her chapter to welcome everyone with open arms! Even though not every girl will join their sorority, the process of getting to meet new people and make connections is what makes Recruitment so special.

The conversations you have during rush week will stick with you way after Bid Day, so make them genuine! Amy talked about how the girl she talked with felt like a old friend, and that should be the goal in every round. Zeta Tau Alpha strives to make their Recruitment process feel natural and fun, not like an intimidating interview. That way, both the PNM and Zeta feel like they can be authentic and truly themselves! The whole point of Recruitment, afterall, is finding where you fit in without having to pretend to be someone else.

It's easy to talk about, but Recruitment takes a lot of hard work! Amy talked about how much time her committee has put in so far, and it's still the Summer! It truly takes an army (or in this case, a chapter) to make Recruitment and Bid Day come together. But after learning about how dedicated and hard-working the Theta Xi chapter is, we know it's going to be nothing short of AMAZING.

You can't have the best Recruitment ever without eqaully amazing t-shirts! Without spoiling anything, let us just say, theirRecruitment and Bid Day shirts are some of the best. Trendy designs that girls will WANT to wear again, styles that'll keep them comfortable during the long parties ... what more could you ask for?? Seriously getting jealous of the new members that get to change into their Zeta shirts on Bid Day - that's how adorable they are. With how much thought and care went into designing everything, we can't wait to see what it looks like all together!
