• Chi Omega was founded in 1895. There are currently 181 active collegiate chapters making it the largest women's fraternal organization by membership. Wow! Chi Omega’s founders day is April 5.

• Chi O’s mission statement: highlight friendship, personal Integrity, service to others, academic excellence and intellectual pursuits, community and campus involvement and personal and career development. All sound like good things!

• Chi Omega’s Vision: Sisters inspired by our values who serve the world while keeping Chi Omega ever at heart. Part of the Chi Omega symphony is “to be discouraged never; in a word, to be loyal under any and all circumstances to my Fraternity and her highest teachings and to have her welfare ever at heart.” Sounds like girl power!

• Chi O’s Colors are cardinal and straw. Their symbol is the skull and crossbones. Their flower is the white carnation and their mascot is the owl. Their owl is super fun to play off of for big-little gifts and bid day gifts!

Chi O’s Philanthropy is the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Make-A-Wish fulfills "wish" experiences for children with life-threatening medical conditions.

Chi O chapters hold fundraising events called Wings and Wishes where they invite other sororities and fraternities to come eat BBQ where the proceeds go towards a childs wish grant. Wish Week is a week long of small events getting other people involved in the fundraising.Whats better than getting a cheap meal and proceeds going towards a kiddos dream?

• The Make-A-Wish is a 501 nonprofit organization founded in the United States that creates life-changing wishes for children with a critical illness who have reached the age of 2 1/2 and are younger than 18 at the time of referral.

• Students from other greek organizations and students at the university are encouraged to buy tickets to help the sorority girls reach their goals.
